Meet Rachael, Gerrard, Phil & Charity. They run the Kenya Lost Children Fund with the huge support of all of our sponsors.

Rachael founded The Kenya Lost Children Fund almost 14 years ago. She completed a degree in global health and public policy at Duke University, followed by Masters in Theology also at Duke. Rachael studied Swahili at college, as this was initially her primary language of communication with the children of The Kenya Lost Children Fund, though their English has now dramatically improved. In Rachael 2022 graduated from Case Western School of Medicine and is now in her third year of OB/Gyn Residency at the University of Massachusetts. She would like to send out a heartfelt thanks to all those who have provided aid and support for this project over the last few years.

RACHAEL CLARK | FOUNDER

GERRARD CLARK | DIRECTOR

Gerrard works hand in hand with Rachael as webmaster and technical expert for the Kenya Lost Children Fund. After gaining a B.A. in International Studies from Johns Hopkins University and a Masters in Management from London Business School, he is currently working in London at a consulting firm called Prophet.  He wants to use some of the skills he has acquired to support the Kenya Lost Children Fund.

Philip joined the board of the Kenya Lost Children Fund in 2015 when the project officially became a tax-exempt 501(c) (3) charity and needed an experienced treasurer.  He is a long time friend of Rachael, Gerrard and their brother Andrew.  Philip earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the University of Arizona.  He worked in public accounting for five years and is currently a senior revenue analyst at Veritas Technologies.

PHILIP JONAS | TREASURER

Charity acts as the children’s guardian (though not their legal guardian).  She transports the children from the orphanage to the boarding school and back, at the beginning and the end of term.  She buys their school uniforms and supplies.  She visits them at the boarding school during term time and at the orphanage during the school holidays.  She is someone the children can rely on and can confide in if they are having a problem at school. The children love her dearly and affectionately call her Auntie Charity. It is through Charity that Rachael keeps updated on the children’s progress.
