THE KENYA LOST CHILDREN FUND
REGINA
At Nairobi Children’s Home, Regina was a quiet, intense girl who was shy around new people. I had never seen a child color so intensely. She would sit with her crayons and coloring sheet, determined to never stray outside the lines. At Nairobi Children’s Home it was rare to catch Regina smiling
Updates from 2024:
Regina recently finished high school at Ng’araria girls high school in Muranga. She has remained very focused at school and frequently scored at the top of her class. Her dream is to attend University, though she is unsure what she wants to study. She is currently waiting on the results of her high school exit exams. She explained to me that the career paths she is eligible to study depend on how she did on these exams. Regina was able to be reunited with her maternal grandmother and now lives with her grandmother in Muranga, Kenya when not at school.
